Senior Business Manager-Wholesale Channel UK (home based)

As senior business manager, with national coverage, you will be working as part of an experienced commercial team. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director & working closely with the marketing team. This is a dynamic role that incorporates new business development as well as account management. You will develop strong relationships with key wholesaler partners, understanding their business & offering solutions, putting Aviko firmly on the map. You will work effectively with your sales & marketing colleagues to create value for all stakeholders. You will drive sales to achieve strong, noticeable results. You will create efficient relationships with key contacts in each account, make sure you understand their needs and translate those needs into solutions that add value. Of course you will work closely with the senior business managers, making sure a cohesive route to market strategy is developed & executed to maintain market equilibrium & sustainable growth. You have a total profit & loss accountability for the business portfolio, customer relationship and budgeted scorecard delivery.
This role would be ideal for an established Senior/National Account Manager who is looking to develop & implement a route to market strategy guided by a strong commercial team to realise our shared vision. You are a candidate who has worked for a manufacturer/wholesaler in the past and has experience with working with internal & external multi-disciplinary teams. This includes marketing, NPD teams, commercial operation, production, quality control etc. You must have a creative mind-set when it comes to customer acquisition, working with customer stakeholders (DMU’s) to drive new ideas, range / portfolio management and cross / upselling to existing customers, increasing the LTV. Beside that we ask:

  • A go getter, tenacious with excellent communication & listening skills
  • A good understanding of basic marketing principles
  • A new business generator, persistence, consistency & disciplined approach is a must
  • Must have a passion & strong affinity for food/drink, with experience in/with chefs desired
  • Commercially astute & be able to manage your own P&L
  • Hunger & passion to be better everyday
  • Strategic key account management/category management principles desired
