I have been enjoying my work at Aviko since my work placement as part of my training at HAS college. Together with my colleagues, I'm responsible for the quality of our products at the locations in Lomm and Cuijk.
We ensure there is proper quality control, we formulate standards and conduct quality audits. We are also responsible for customer service and for resolving hurdles, such as a situation when products do not meet our quality standards and therefore cannot be delivered. As the quality service department, we look for the cause of these problems. Overall, it is a nonroutine job. Some days I'm in the office; others - I can be found at the factory.
What attracts me most at Aviko? First of all, the product, namely potatoes. It is much more complex than you would initially think. It is this complexity that makes it so interesting. In addition, high quality is a priority at Aviko. At Aviko, safety comes first, then quality, followed by costs and growth. That says something about our company. Furthermore, Aviko gives me all the room I need forself-development. It provides excellent conditions for continuous learning. I have been working here for four and a half years already, so I think I am living proof of that.
